Position Overview:
Leads, organizes, and supports data driven Business Intelligence (BI) and manufacturing performance improvement projects in the implementation and use of data analytics software tools, processes and methodologies supporting Global Manufacturing. This position understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key business improvements. Additional responsibilities include working on complex problem solving, cross functional and enterprise business intelligence solutions. Accountable for facilitating information gathering, development of action plans, and implementation of changes to tooling, equipment and business processes. This position will be integral to a larger team effort to drive performance improvement in manufacturing facilities and business process initiatives supporting Global Manufacturing. 

  • Support Global Manufacturing teams by turning data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions
  • Conducts analyses of performance data and analytics program outputs to drive targeted problem solving and corrections on plant floor
  • Analyzes data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends
  • Identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the Manufacturing BI systems & processes
  • Utilize personal knowledge augmented with analytics generated data to drive performance improvement in manufacturing systems

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized training/certification
  • College graduate with appropriate manufacturing engineering experience, 4-6 years of experience working in automation and / or analytics field
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing control systems and manufacturing execution systems
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in various BI toolsets such as 'Power BI' or 'Tableau' and other business software applications
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in plant floor safety practices
  • Knowledgeable in throughput improvement processes
  • Works well within a team environment
  • Attention to details and aptitude for working with data
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred:

  • 5 7 years of Manufacturing experience
  • Plant floor troubleshooting / technical support experience
