Position Description:

Chassis NVH FEA Engineer. Responsible for building chassis system models using NASTRAN, Abaqus, NVH Console and/or NVH Director. Utilize models to assess status to targets, determination of design improvements or counter measures to meet targets. Conduct optimization studies to determine connector element sensitivity and optimal setting. Written and verbal reporting of findings.

 

Skills Required:

Modelling with 2 and 3D elements using hypermesh. Understanding of Modal Analysis and component mode synthesis. Optimization using either Mode Frontier or Heeds.

Prefer Modelling of non-linear components such as bushings, ball joints and shock absorbers.

 

Experience Required:

3 years of automotive OEM or tier 1 supplier NVH analysis using component mode synthesis simulation techniques.

Prefer Chassis, frame, tire or steering experience

 

Education Required:

BS in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics

Prefer MS in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
