Position Description:
Develop and validate powertrain calibrations for the Transmission Independent Plausibility Checker (IPC) feature for passenger car and light truck automatic transmission applications Develop and maintain calibration DVM's and DVP&R Assist in the development of software, control system requirements, and strategies Provide leadership to vehicle programs for the resolution of transmission diagnostic issues Perform analysis of TEAM, Freeze-Frame, and DTC data to diagnose field issues Provide technical direction to calibration & controls community on diagnostic functionality and troubleshooting Provide functional safety training as required Function as point of contact for all automatic transmission Functional Safety issues related to internal combustion and hybrid technology Maintain and release calibrations in CFX
Skills Required:
Prior experience with automatic transmission calibration, powertrain control system function, vehicle electrical and dynamic systems preferred Strong analytical, teamwork, written and oral communication, and leadership skills Self-starter with proven capability to work independently Proficient with ATI/Vision & ETAS/Inca calibration tools required
Experience Required:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in automatic transmission functional safety (ISO 26262)
Education Required:
Minimum BS in ME, EE or Physics; MS preferred
